When you have your BOTOX® injections at Monarch Bay Laser in Dana Point, you will be treated by Dr Mills' staff of professional Registered Nurses and certified Physician Assistants. All staff members have been personally trained by Dr Mills in facial anatomy and BOTOX® injection techniques and have completed the Allergan BOTOX® Cosmetic Preceptorship Training Program.

BOTOX® is a natural, purified protein that acts locally blocking the transmission of nerve impulses to the injected muscle. One treatment causes the temporary relaxation of the muscles that cause wrinkles to form. It will take approximately 3-5 days for the results to appear.
Results will typically last 3-4 months and sometimes longer. The most common side effects are bruising, headache, or redness. Any redness or bruising usually resolves within two to three days and can be easily covered with make-up. The second most common side effect is a temporary eyelid and/or eyebrow droop. This occurs very rarely (less than 1%) and resolves spontaneously, within two to ten weeks.
